Comments: Hello and thank you for maintaining this website for our trusty XP-30! I love reading that it was a wise decision many years ago.
Quick question - in performance mode, can I set various patches to IGNORE the hold (sustain) pedal? It would be great to have it active on the piano patch, let's call it part 1, while ignoring the bass that I have set up in lower octaves on part 2 for example.
I've read it requires ignoring it at the patch level, requiring a custom patch saved in the user area. That would be a no go. Hopefully, not the case! Thanks for your insight!!!

Comments: Hi on the Roland XP-30 describtion page I saw a wrong information about the Roland XP-50. Its technical saying its cheap 18 bit is wrong, XP-50 uses a 32 bit chip. Grateful if you can please correct this information. Hope you dont mind. Thank you.
Johannes replied: Hello,
OI checked and it should be 32kHz but 18bit can it be correct? THanks!
Comments: Really struggle to save settings. Currently pulling my hair out trying to save the rotary settings. I cam adjust them all to what I want, do the Utility/enter but find all the settings go back to what they were before I set my own -acceleration for example which I set to 4 goes back to 10. What am I doing wrong, or what should I be doing -yes, manual is rubbish!!

Comments: Hi mate nice website! I was hoping if you could tell me if the qy70 or qy22 has a function where you can record live sounds and edit them. I heard someone in a documentary talking about making drum beats out of doors slamming, etc and was wondering if this kind of stuff was possible on the Yamaha sequencers? If you could get back to me on that I would be eternally grateful, thank you

Comments: Hi, and thank you for this site! I have recently started using my qy70 in my solo act, and need to download the data files to my computer for storage and re-use. The problem is that I can't find anywhere that says how to make the data filer work with Windows Vista. Does it work with Vista? Do you have any tips on how to make it work? Thank you in advance. Danke

Hi, I work in a Door Tribute band and use an XP-30 with 60&70s and vintage synth cards installed for everything except piano and electric piano sounds.
You want to explore the Vox sounds on the 60s & 70s card. These are patches 100-118 on that card. You can go to Rolandus.com and get the patch list for that card if you don't have it.
