Hi.
The only differences between the classic stage and the stage EX as of now, is the double sample memmory, the color scheme and that the EX can play a new string ressonance feature with the grand pianos. All the rest is exactly the same.
So basicly it means that the EX can load more pianos and bigger pianos. The only difference in the bigger pianos is the amount of samples when you play the key from soft to hard.
So the bigger pianos can play more dynamically but otherwise it sounds the same as the smaller pianos.
I haven't tried the string resonance feature yet, because I myself own the classic stage. So I don't know how good it sounds.
The question is really: How much does details matter to you in the grand pianos? I would like to have the things that the EX has of course. But is it really worth the extra money?
It is not worth it for me to sell my classic stage and buy a new EX right now. But I don't know how you feel about it.
I can't say though, if the Stage EX will get more new features in the future that the classic stage wont get.
I hope this wasn't too confusing to read.
Please ask more questions if you need more information.
Have fun.
Sebastian
